Doing my normal fumble around digg.com and came across this an article titled “Beautiful Modern Vintage Illustrations by Tom Whalen” found on abduzeedo.com. This has to the best use style/subject matter I have seen in a very long time. I might be the direct connection I get from references to my childhood that draw me in, but I definitely recommend checking it out.

Amnesty International has installed a new anti-domestic-abuse ad fixture in Hamburg, Germany which is equal parts clever and shocking. I remember going into Best Buy with my friends and playing for hours with the camera the had face and smile detection. Feel vaguely familiar in this ad execution or at least something I would get sucked into play around with if I found the ad on the street. Check out the full article on Gizmodo.
